The Student Concern Response Team (SCRT) coordinates efforts to provide appropriate assistance to students in need. This is accomplished through a case management based process in which a member of the SCRT team will outreach a student who is having difficulties and/or demonstrating concerning behaviors.
Our experience is that early outreach and intervention will assist a student to be able to use available resources to manage their situation and function as well as possible in the university environment.
The team is led by the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs Health & Wellness. The team members include:
Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success
Director, Counseling & Psychological Services
When you are working with a student, refer to this decision guide to assist you in determining the appropriate intervention to use.
The main question to ask is "Does the student need immediate emergency assistance for medical or mental health?"
