New Student Convocation is an important event that marks the official welcome to the university. WCU's Chancellor, Provost, Deans, Faculty, and Staff convene to help celebrate the occasion.

Following Convocation, students are given the class shirt and move to the football field for the annual tradition of forming the numbers of the year they anticipate to graduate for a class photo. Join your classmates in this historical event on August 16th starting at 4pm!

8/22 WOW Concert

bbno$ headliner for Week of Welcome concert

Campus Activities hosts an annual Week of Welcome Concert to celebrate the return of our students for the fall semester. This year's concert artist is bbno$, performing at the Catafount/Central Plaza on August 22nd following a DJ Opener at 8:00 pm. ADMISSION IS FREE!

"bbno$ defines how to independently and unapologetically build a reputation and success as an artist in the ever changing music industry. It's a testament to how well his music and brand connects with his fans and modern culture at large. 'I would say that I'm pretty stoked on life 24/7,' says bbno$ (pronounced 'baby no money'). His baseline enthusiasm spills out into his music, his colorful music videos, and his growing online identity as a gamer under the moniker bbnogames. His raps place an emphasis on creative melodies, humor, and mischievous wordplay, while his philosophy of avoiding overthinking at all costs allows his true personality to shine through. bbno$ is a renaissance man in the age of the internet, and his career, a story of both virality and sheer persistence, is just getting started."
